Tavri Refuge - Askifou - East Apokoronas

Askifou - Tavri Refuge - Niatos Plateau: In Askifou the wild landscape is a typical example of Sfakia villages. Just a few kilometers southwest of Askifou is the eastern refuge on "Lefka Ori", named "Tavri" and "Niatos" plateau, where you can see the peaks "Fanari" and "Kastro" in a height close to 2250 meters.
Imbros: Time for lunch! The area is well known for it’s traditional tasty Cretan cuisine. Let’s eat!
Askifou - Vatoudiaris - Emprosneros: Continue our off road Jeep Safari adventure, it is easy for you to capture local culture and understand shepherd's hard way of life. There are frequent stops to admire nature and take pictures as the mountain’s landscape beauty is memorable.
Vrisses:Let’s have a last stop in one of the most historical villages in "Apokoronas" county. Enjoy the flavor of a nice cup of coffee or have some yogurt is a good idea while we rest.

During the guided safari tour you will learn about life in Cretan villages, olives pick, olive oil production, cheese & honey production, distillation of "raki" - "tsikoudia", and Cretan cuisine, culture, history and tradition.

Price includes: Liability insurance and local taxes, entrance fee for the winery tasting accompanied with Cretan tastes, tour in 4wd 7 seater Mitsubishi Pajero, English speaking guide - driver, lunch with traditional food and wine, coffee or orange juice.
Items to bring: bottle of water, sunglasses, hat, sun cream, a jacket (depending on the weather conditions). Sport or hiking shoes recommended.
Remember to inform us if you or another member of your group is vegetarian or if there is a food allergy. If you do, we may arrange a different menu for them.
Must be able to step in and out of a 7 seater Mitsubishi Pajero jeep. This adventures is not recommended for people with mobility or kinetic problems, fear of heights, back issues, overweight that can’t afford to have a normal seat in car or can’t access in a 3rd row of seats in a Mitsubishi Pajero Jeep , nor people taller than 195cm (76 in) for comfort reasons.
